The AKOA club emerged victorious. The Lomé Gulf Handball League (LLGHB), under the auspices of the Togolese Handball Federation, recently organized a beach handball tournament that saw the participation of several local clubs. This initiative is part of the promotion and development of the sport at the national level.
At the end of the competition, AKOA distinguished itself by winning the tournament, thus confirming its dominance on the local scene. Thanks to a masterful technical and tactical performance, AKOA was able to impose its rhythm throughout the competition and clinch the championship title. Gbohloesu finished in second place.
This initiative complements regional efforts to strengthen the practice of beach handball in Africa, in line with the strategic guidelines of the African Handball Confederation. It demonstrates the vitality of national leagues and the growing interest in this dynamic variant of the sport.
